PlaceCraft Solutions brings together a broad range of real estate expertise under one intentional vision: to shape spaces and create meaningful experiences where people live, work and grow.
With roots in investment, development and project management, we believe in a hands-on, purpose-driven approach. Whether we're repositioning a residential property, acquiring raw land, or overseeing a commercial build, we focus on long-term value, thoughtful design and smart execution.
Every project ends up being an experience for somebody — the person who lives there, the tenant who rents it, the buyer who walks through it. Good economics and thoughtful places belong in the same conversation, and most of the time they aren't as opposed as people assume.
Meet the founder
Shawn Wang
Licensed architect, project manager, real estate investor and capital partner. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Background
My path to founding PlaceCraft Solutions has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity about how people experience the built environment — and a belief that real estate, at its best, balances creative vision with practical impact.
Architecture
I studied architecture at the University of Edinburgh and earned my master's degree from Cornell University, where I also minored in real estate. I began my career in London as a designer, and later a licensed architect, delivering high-end residential projects and workplace environments for global law firms, real estate companies and other corporate clients in the US.
Project management
Over time I transitioned into project management and business consulting, leading real estate initiatives for Fortune 500 tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. That work has ranged from business optimization to portfolio planning, construction oversight and capital planning — and continues today under PlaceCraft Solutions, keeping me connected to both the broader industry and the operational realities my clients face.
Investing & operating
In parallel, I've been investing in and operating rental properties — handling acquisition, design, construction and management, primarily in the U.S., with a few international projects that broadened my perspective. I've applied strategies like BRRRR, build-to-rent, long- and short-term rentals, land deals and value-add improvements. Decisions carry consequences long after construction ends.
